May 13 and 14: Grand Opening

The “Mazda Classic – Automobil Museum Frey” is opening its doors: on Saturday and Sunday, May 13 and 14, the grand opening will take place. Each day, car enthusiasts, technology fans, and other interested parties can discover the exclusive exhibit for themselves and be among the first guests of the house. And best of all: this weekend, admission is free. The founders of the museum, Walter Frey and his sons Markus and Joachim Frey, will be on site both days and will be happy to answer all of your question regarding how the idea for the museum was conceived, and how it became a reality over the last several months. Of course, there will be exciting stories about the heritage and restoration of these classic cars. Burgers and drinks will be available during the grand opening.

The “Mazda Classic – Automobil Museum Frey” is the first Mazda museum outside Japan. The historic train depot near the city center of Augsburg provides a fitting framework for the cars on display. In addition to the exhibition space, the museum also features a large event area and gallery for private and corporate occasions. Regular business hours will begin on Tuesday, May 16. Operating hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday. The “Mazda Classic – Automobil Museum Frey” is also open to visitors on holidays. It is therefore the ideal destination for any kind of getaway. Upon request, guided tours that provide detailed background information about the cars on display are also provided.
